Great question! Well for starters we give 50% of our profits to small and medium Aussie animal rescue groups that are registered as a Charity with the Australian Charities and Not-for-profits Commission (ACNC).
So shopping our range of Australian, unique, personalised, ethical and handmade gifts is all for a good cause. That's why we're the gift shop for good hoomans. And without you, we couldn't help out rescues in caring for animals big and small.
Plus, good hoomans like you should get to spoil yourself, or someone you love. But especially yourself.
Let's be real, mostly yourself.
On each product page, there is a pull-down box where you can choose your preferred rescue.
Once you select your preferred option, just add the product to your cart, and our system will tell us the rescue you chose to support.
Paws for Giving is not registered as a Charity or Not-for-profit with the Australian Charities and Not-for-profits Commission (ACNC) and we do not accept donations. Your purchase from us is not a donation and you will receive material benefit - the goods you are buying.
This means your receipt for your Paws for Giving purchase cannot be claimed by you as a tax deduction.
That's okay! You have three choices:
1. Choose completely at random. All of our Rescue Partners are reputable rescues, doing amazing work.
2. Take a look at our Rescue Partner pages where you can read about the rescues that we work closely with, and pick one that resonates with you.
3. Nominate the option for 'Any Rescue' and we will choose for you.
We'll always do our best to get you your order as quickly as pawssible. And if there is a delay, this is our promise:
We will provide order updates as quickly as a terrier would let you know that someone is definitely about to break into your house (but also maybe it's just the neighbours checking the mail).
And if the analogy isn't clear enough, we'll let you know quickly.

In-stock products will generally be posted within 1-2 business days from the date of purchase.
🐶 Pre-Order Products (check the product)
Pre-order products have a more variable timeframe. As this depends on the circumstances of the pre-order, it is best to check the specific product page for a specific timeframe depending on the item.
🐰Personalised and Backordered Products (10-20 business days)
Personalised products will generally be posted within 10-20 business days from the date of purchase. This allows for designing, ordering, receiving and checking the product prior to posting it to you, and ensures that you receive the best quality product possible.
Unfortunately because to the Covid-19 Pandemic and the strain on Australia Post, we just can't be sure that you'll get your parcel within express post timeframes. Rather than give you a a subpar experience, we are currently offering standard postage only.
As soon as we are confident parcels will be delivered in express timeframes, we will offer express shipping.
We currently don't ship internationally, however watch this space, as we may in the future!
🐱 We have a 60-day return policy, which means you have 60 days after receiving your item to request a return for changing your mind.
🐶 So that you have complete freedom to choose what you want, we will gladly give you a refund or store credit for an accepted change of mind return.
🐰 Return postage will be at your expense for a change of mind return.

If your return is related to damage or faults, please send us some photos so we can see what the issue is clearly!
We will gladly send out replacement items, provide a refund or a store credit, whichever you prefer.
We take the greatest care in packaging our items to avoid damage and faults, so if there is a problem, please let us know!
Certain types of items cannot be returned, like perishable goods (such as food, flowers, or plants), custom products (such as special orders or personalised items), and personal care goods (such as beauty products).
We also do not accept returns for hazardous materials, flammable liquids, or gases. Please get in touch if you have questions or concerns about your specific item.
Unfortunately, we cannot accept returns on sale items or gift cards.
Aside from receiving donations from Paws for Giving whenever your supporters buy from us, there are other great benefits of being a Rescue Partner.
We provide you all the support and materials to help you make the most out of Paws for Giving, for example featuring your rescue on our website and social media, and providing customised marketing materials for your rescue. Our Rescue Partners have so far provided overwhelmingly positive feedback about our partnerships, which you can see Our Impact page.

Nope! We set no obligations or minimum requirements on our Rescue Partners for promotion, and that works well for all of us. You will find of course that you may receive more donations from Paws for Giving if you do promote us to your supporters. But that will always be your choice.
